Victor Zaborsky is a lawyer, businessman, and LGBTQ+ activist. He gained national attention in 2006 when he, along with his partner Joe Price and friend Dylan Ward, were charged with obstruction of justice in the murder investigation of their friend and housemate, Robert Wone. The case gained media attention due to its unusual circumstances and lack of physical evidence tying the three men to the murder.
Zaborsky was born in Texas and attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, he moved to Washington D.C. to work for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as an attorney. He later became a senior vice president at the data analysis firm, FTI Consulting.
In addition to his career in law and business, Zaborsky has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. He served on the boards of the Human Rights Campaign and the Whitman-Walker Clinic, an LGBTQ+ health center in D.C. He has also been involved in local fundraising efforts for charities and political campaigns.
Since the Wone case, Zaborsky has mostly stayed out of the public eye. In 2008, a judge dismissed the obstruction of justice charges against Zaborsky, Price, and Ward due to lack of evidence. However, the case remains unsolved and has left many questions unanswered.
